Burna Boy is on a roll as he bags a 2020 BET Awards nomination for Best International act. He is nominated alongside South African superstar Sho Madjozi and Congolese singer-songwriter Innoss’B. Other nominees include Dave (U.K.), Stormzy (U.K.), Ninho (France) and S.Pri Noir (France).
This is not Burna Boy’s first BET Awards run as he made his BET debut in 2019 with a nomination for Best International Act, which he won. The nomination is a recognition of the impact Burna Boy has made on the international scene.
Drake leads the nomination pack with six nominations, including ‘Best Male Hip Hop Artist,’ ‘Video of the Year’. Newcomers Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch garnered the second most nods with five nominations each. Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Lizzo, and DaBaby are the third-highest with four nominations each.
BET recognizes artists, entertainers, and athletes across 21 categories with The “BET Awards” 2020 nominations. The nominations are selected by BET’s Voting Academy, which is composed of fans and an esteemed group of entertainment professionals in the fields of television, film, music, social media, digital marketing, sports journalism, public relations, and creative arts.

The BET Awards 2020 will go live at 1 am WAT on June 29 making its international broadcast premiere on BET Africa (DStv Channel 129). The BET Awards pre-show on June 29 at 6 pm WAT and BET Awards main show repeat June 29 at 7 pm WAT.
